If we are the answers to the ways we travel, why do we have to seek comfort in our pain? Well, we have been given free will. Do you not love this fact? Not all of us have seen the light at the end of the tunnel or the big picture, but that doesn’t mean we should stop searching for it. I admit it can be difficult to find hope in the midst of darkness, but it is always worth the effort. It also can be hard to see the big picture in our lives. It’s even harder to find the needed support, especially as a special needs/autism parent. What can make this even harder is when the significant other or close family members do not understand or support the challenges faced. When you are not all on the same page with handling the emotional needs of the children. The parent that is most understanding, patient, and willing to change. The ones that are willing to try new things are also burdened with difficult health issues and emotional needs of their own.
